Project Administrative Officer

Description:
Stony Brook University Medical Center, the only academic medical center on Long Island, and the only tertiary care facility in Suffolk County, offers an exciting opportunity to join our staff.

Stony Brook University Medical Center’s Department of Pediatrics is seeking a Project Administrative Officer (Administrator).

Required:
Master’s Degree in Business or related field; five years of full-time progressively responsible professional experience, including both financial reporting and administrative responsibility in health care administration at a hospital or health facility. Excellent organizational and communication skills required.

Preferred:
MBA degree; minimum of five years full-time financial and administrative responsibility in a physician group practice; CPT Coding and Managed Care issues expertise; experience with DOH, JCAHO, HIPPA standards and Human Resources rules and regulations. Familiarity with management of Pediatric patients preferred.
