Director, Office of Faculty Resources - Children's Mercy Hospitals and Clinics - Kansas City

Principal Duties: As the Director, Office of Faculty Resources, you will be responsible to coordinate, plan, and provide all-over administration and implementation for the Department of Pediatrics Faculty Resource Center at Children's Mercy Hospitals and Clinics. You will work in conjunction with the Medical Director of the Department of Pediatrics Faculty Resource Center to develop policies, undertake initiatives, direct specific programs to enhance the development of our faculty in all aspects of their professional lives, and to provide technical support for those programs and for the individuals.
The Administrative Director in this office will collaborate with the Director of Medical Education, the Administrative Director in the Department of Pediatrics, and the Department Chair, Department of Pediatrics, to develop and implement strategies and curriculum. In addition, this individual will serve to represent the Department of Pediatrics Faculty Resource Center on committees, senior administration at CMHC, and the UMKC School of Medicine, working in conjunction with the Medical Director.
Successful Candidates Will Have: Experience building relationships across many departments, experience developing assessments and accountability structures, experience developing programs to enhance career advancement, and academic promotion, awareness of the stresses associated with MD and DO Faculty, experience with leadership skill development and retention of physician faculty.
Job Requirements: Masters degree required; Ph.D. in relevant field preferred, three or more years experience in an academic medical area, excellent interpersonal skills.
